How To Consign:

Large items that won't fit in a container can also be brought in.

Use this Closet to Cash Checklist of items we accept to prepare your drop off!

#1 Prep Your Items

This is the most important part. Presentation is EVERYTHING. The better your items look, the more we’ll accept, the higher they can be priced, meaning the more $$ you’ll make.

CLOTHES:

Freshly washed, laid completely flat, buttons/zippers/snaps done up, sets laid together, and placed in a box, plastic bin, or container (no bags, please)

Sizes Accepted: Children’s preemie - 14/16 youth & all size NWT maternity & nursing

SHOES:

Cleaned, laces tied, set in pairs

Sizes Accepted: Newborn - 5 youth

Baby Equipment/Toys/Books/Miscellaneous Items/Furniture:

All fabric freshly washed, hard surfaces wiped clean, batteries working, all parts and pieces collected. Be sure to check the crevices of toys especially Jumperoos and Exersaucers.

#2 Drop Off Procedure

 

 

  • Bring your items in, and we will do the rest. 
  • All Consignors are required to read Agreement and sign in.
  • After you’ve left Kids World of Asheboro, we will continue to inspect, price, and display your items on our sales floor.
  • When your drop-off is priced, you’ll receive an email to the address provided, confirming the completion of your drop-off and any additional instructions.
  • After your items are priced, we will display your items on our sales floor. We strive to process your items the same day you bring them in.

#3 Pick Up No Thank-You's

Pick up anytime during normal business hours; Tuesday - Friday 10-5 & Saturday 10-6.

  1. If you receive a text saying you have no-thank-you’s for pickup, you’ll have 3 weeks to return to the store and collect any items we have not chosen to keep and sell under your account.
  2. If no-thank-you’s are not picked up within 3 weeks of the text message being sent, those items will become store propety. There will be a $2 disposal fee per container disposed of. 
  3. Consignors cannot opt out of text messages regarding their consignment drop off but CAN opt out of promotional text messages.


Items We Do NOT Accept:


  • Clothes more than 10 years old from purchase date
  • Maternity unless NWT
  • Breast pumps unless Elvie or Willow
  • Purses, Scarves, Belts, Ties
  • Puzzles, opened games (WE WILL ACCEPT CHUNKY PUZZLES!)
  • Fast Food Toys
  • Out of season clothing (will be purchased for .10 each)
  • Opened underwear, bras, diapers
  • Stuffed animals that are not Disney, special characters or beanie babies.
